This site is designed to showcase Cape Breton and the poetry of Lillian Crewe Walsh.
Lillian Crewe Walsh is best known for developing the Cape Breton Tartan. Her poem The Lady of the Loom can be found in tourist shops all over Cape Breton Island. She was born in Neils Harbour and published her first book of poetry in 1912.
Cape Breton is part of the province of Nova Scotia. It is located on the east coast of Canada.
